October 26 the half-yearly meeting of the Quoit Club was held at the Biddulph Arms Hotel.
 
December 1 the Ledbury Quoit Club held their annual dinner at the Biddulph Arms Hotel.

1957 Re-Naming the Inn
10th July - George EMMETT, Gloucestershire county cricket captain and many notable cricketers attended the Biddulph Arms, which ajoins Ledbury Cricket Club ground, on the occasion of re-naming the inn.
The new sign-board was duly unveiled by George EMMETT, and the new name 'The Full Pitcher' chosen by the owners of the property was thus announced.
