William MADDERS now Careys rebuilt after that lorry went in there. The launderette front still survives and looks exactly the same. If you are passing here take a look high up on the wall to the left of the Launderette you can still make Madders out painted on the wall...CP

I loved the tiles that were in there behind the counter. I think they were cattle and sheep...JL

My dad was errand boy here...PP

I think I used to get Bird-seed for dad's Canaries and Corn for our chickens from there...TW

How lovely - I like the peoples outfits standing at the doorway - fascinating!!...HCB
